Wooden Lighthouse Table Lamp B

£110.00

The base to this Lamp is Walnut.  I think the Lighthouse itself is different coloured Oak.  With curving steps cut into the base with brass hand rails this is a charming Lamp which really shows off the wood grain.   Probably from the late 40s early 50s period it stands approx. 390mm tall with a base width of approx. 130mm.  A great Lamp maybe for a Seaside Cottage or if you have a Nautical interest.

Description

This lamp was completely stripped down, cleaned (including the brass hand rail fittings), polished to high finish, reassembled and rewired.  The rim at the top of the main column has a small piece missing – I did consider repairing this but concluded that it is so small a repair would further damage the Lamp.  There is a standard brass BC (bayonet cap) bulb holder and the base was drilled out to accept an internal cable grip.

The cable is Antique Gold braided flex, approx. 2000mm in length and fitted with a black in-line switch and 3 amp plug.  The plinth is baize covered. The Lamp is PAT (portable appliance test) tested, labelled and registered.
