Description
This Lantern was in a sorry state but has been completely stripped down, painstakingly cleaned internally to rid all the brass fittings of pitting, so as to provide gleaming light reflection. Exterior surfaces have been cleaned and polished and the Lantern rewired with a standard brass BC (bayonet cap) bulb holder.
The door opens using a slide bar catch and the main body sits snuggly on the original wall bracket. I have allowed enough slack in the cable so that the Lantern can be lifted off the bracket for wall fixing and then re-seated. The supply cable has been fitted with ‘bootlace crimps’ for easy connection and there is an internal cable grip.
The Light has been tested for electrical safety, labelled and registered and should only be fitted to a suitably fused light circuit by a Qualified Electrician.
